The University of North Carolina Greensboro School of Music is proud to host the 2011 Miraphone Academy. The academy offers professional and musical development opportunities for every level of player. Through this site you will be able to register for the 2011 Academy to be held in Greensboro, NC, USA.
Who
This year’s faculty include Demondrae Thurman, Deanna Swoboda, and Dennis AsKew. They will present workshops on musicianship, performance, fundamentals, improvisation, and other topics.
What
The Miraphone Academy is presented under the sponsorship of Miraphone, to foster musicianship and friendship in the tuba and euphonium community. It is held annually and offers opportunities for musical growth to musicians of all levels.
When, Where and How Much
The Academy will be held June 24-26 on the campus of the University of North Carolina-Greensboro, in the School of Music. The tuition cost for the three day event is $175; attendees will be individually responsible for housing and meals. A list of suggested hotels will be sent to all registrants. A $50 reservation fee is due by June 1. Payment info is found in the registration process.
