Greensboro Youth Brass Ensemble

The Greensboro Youth Brass Ensemble was formed for high school aged brass players in the Guilford County area. The ensemble is the brainchild of Jennifer Hance, Director of the Music Center in Greensboro, and Kiyoshi Carter, former band director at Southwest Guilford High School. The philosophy surrounding the ensemble is not performance oriented (although that is a goal), but to offer supplemental, high level brass instruction to area students. Currently under the direction of Dr. Dennis AsKew, the ensemble rehearses twice a month, and gives performances twice a year. This website will include information regarding rehearsals, performances and personnel.

Regular rehearsals will be on Sunday afternoons, 4:30-6 pm.  Rehearsals will take place in the Greensboro Cultural Arts Center.

The first rehearsals for Fall 2008 will be Sunday, September 7th.  Full schedules for the fall will be up in late summer.
